Served on multiple USS Ships & Submarines.
Qualified in submarines on the USS Barbel (SS-580) in 1969 and was a CTTCS(SS) when he left the Navy.
Charles (Charlie) E. Weaver was born February 11, 1940, in Casa Grande, Az. He passed away January 26,
2014, in Medford, Ore. He was the son of Earl and Ruby Weaver. Charles graduated from Rogue River
High School in 1958. He joined the Navy in 1961, and retired from the Navy May, 1989, in Munich,
Germany. He returned to Rogue River, Ore., where he enjoyed a new career with Bradley Realty which
lasted until his passing. Charles was extremely active in Kiwanis and other community activities. He was
an elder at St. John’s Lutheran Church for many years. Charles was loved by all and he loved everyone,
especially his family. Survivors include his twin sister, Carol Mooreand numerous nieces, nephews,
grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30,
2014, at Eagle Point National Cemetery, followed by a memorial service noon. St. John’s Lutheran
Church. There will be visitation from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at Abbey Funeral Home on Wednesday, January
29th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Tennessee or
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eagle Point, Ore.
