Dale Spradlin CTTCM(NAC)
Dale passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014. He was 77.
Dale Lamar Spradlin was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Safford, Arizona to Earl and Norma (Newton) Spradlin.
Following his education he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and began his career as a communication specialist,
retiring as Master Chief.
On April 9, 1960 he married Val Schroder in Eckernforde, Germany. During his 20 year span with the
military, Dale and his family saw many parts of the world; Spain, Germany, Hawaii and Japan also several
places in the states as well. When he retired, Dale received his Master’s Degree in Education.
He taught industrial arts and math at Oologah High School, retiring there in 1995.
Those family members that survive include his wife of 54 years, Val of their home in Claremore; his
children Michael Alan Spradlin and wife Julie of Pearland, Texas and Patricia Lynn Stephenson and
husband Neal of Oxford, Alabama; his grandchildren Jessica Stephenson and Kellie Stephenson,
Meredith Spradlin and Morgan Spradlin; his sisters Almeta Bortz, Ruby Martin, Ethel Frost, Vickie
Vansandt and Marcia Janisch. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carolyn Hoock.
